Verse 1 Καὶ ἐλάλησεν κύριος τω Ἰησοῖ λέγων
And the Lord spoke to Joshua, saying,
Verse 2 Λάλησον τοῖς υἱοῖς Ισραηλ λέγων δότε τὰς πόλεις τῶν φυγαδευτηρίων ἃς εἰπα πρὸς ὑμᾶς διὰ Μωυσῆ
Speak to the children of Israel, saying, Assign the cities of refuge, [of] which I spoke to you by Moses.
Verse 3 Φυγαδευτήριον τω φονευτη τω πατάξαντι ψυχὴν ἀκουσίως καὶ ἔσονται ὑμῖν αἱ πόλεις φυγαδευτήριον καὶ οὐκ ἀποθανεῖται ὁ φονευτὴς ὑπὸ τοῦ ἀγχιστεύοντος τὸ αἱμα ἕως ἂν καταστη ἐναντίον τῆς συναγωγῆς εἰς κρίσιν
[Even] a refuge to the manslayer who has killed a man unintentionally; and the cities shall be to you a refuge, and the manslayer shall not be put to death by the avenger of blood, until he has stood before the congregation for judgment.
Verse 7 Καὶ διέστειλεν τὴν Καδης ἐν τη Γαλιλαίᾳ ἐν τω ὄρει τω Νεφθαλι καὶ Συχεμ ἐν τω ὄρει τω Εφραιμ καὶ τὴν πόλιν Αρβοκ αὕτη ἐστὶν Χεβρων ἐν τω ὄρει τω Ιουδα
And Joshua separated Kadesh in Galilee in the mountains of Nephthali, and Shechem in the mountains of Ephraim, and the city of Arba; this is Hebron, in the mountains of Judah.
Verse 8 Καὶ ἐν τω πέραν τοῦ Ιορδάνου ἔδωκεν Βοσορ ἐν τη ἐρήμω ἐν τω πεδίω ἀπὸ τῆς φυλῆς Ρουβην καὶ Αρημωθ ἐν τη Γαλααδ ἐκ τῆς φυλῆς Γαδ καὶ τὴν Γαυλων ἐν τη Βασανίτιδι ἐκ τῆς φυλῆς Μανασση
And beyond the Jordan he appointed Bezer in the wilderness in the plain out of the tribe of Reuben, and Ramoth in Gilead out of the tribe of Gad, and Golan in the country of Bashan out of the tribe of Manasseh.
Verse 9 Αὑται αἱ πόλεις αἱ ἐπίκλητοι τοῖς υἱοῖς Ισραηλ καὶ τω προσηλύτω τω προσκειμένω ἐν αὐτοῖς καταφυγεῖν ἐκεῖ παντὶ παίοντι ψυχὴν ἀκουσίως ἵνα μὴ ἀποθάνῃ ἐν χειρὶ τοῦ ἀγχιστεύοντος τὸ αἱμα ἕως ἂν καταστη ἔναντι τῆς συναγωγῆς εἰς κρίσιν
These [were] the cities selected for the sons of Israel, and for the stranger abiding among them, that everyone who kills a man unintentionally should flee to there, that he should not die by the hand of the avenger of blood, until he should stand before the congregation for judgment.
